Experimental Series
Light Atomic Nuclei (FISSION) at the Sun’s temperature of 27,000,032 degrees Fahrenheit replicated at the International Thermonuclear Experimental Reactor (ITER) located in Cadarache, a research facility in the Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur region in the south of France
While a “small fission reactor” in the traditional sense may not yet be available commercially, small modular reactors (SMRs) are a promising technology and could become a significant part of the global energy mix in the coming decades. Their development is ongoing, with a focus on making them safe, cost-effective, and adaptable for a wide range of applications. If successful, they could offer a cleaner, more flexible alternative to larger nuclear power plants and contribute to reducing carbon emissions globally.
